The Sumadhura Foundation undertook a robust community-driven initiative to renovate and transform the Bhoganahalli Government Lower Primary School (GLPS). This project was conducted in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Bengaluru and reflects a positive impact, as their CSR activity brightened the students' future with adequate resources and facilities.

The 61-year-old GLPS building was in a deplorable state, lacking classrooms, clean toilets, and other basic necessities. Recognizing the urgent need for a safe learning environment, the Sumadhura Foundation developed a comprehensive plan to renovate the entire school building, leaving no aspect untouched.

This project involved demolishing the old building and constructing four new classrooms. This expansion not only provided the school with more space but also improved the educational experience with clean infrastructure and a hygienic kitchen. Each classroom was furnished with new, high-quality furniture and equipped with advanced technology, providing students with a comfortable and modern learning environment.

In addition to classroom improvements, the school in Bengaluru was renovated to include separate toilets for girls and boys, an upgraded staff room, a dedicated computer lab with modern equipment, and a well-stocked library with adequate cabinets. These enhancements offer students resources to expand their knowledge and skills. A rainwater harvesting system and a new RO plant were also installed to ensure a constant supply of clean drinking water for the students.

Through this initiative, the Sumadhura Foundation has completely transformed Bhoganahalli GLPS from a poorly conditioned school into an institution with enhanced infrastructure and well-equipped facilities.
