With over 20 years of experience across industries ranging from IT Services to advertising, Nimmi specialises in brand strategy, marketing, and communication. She is particularly passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and its potential for positively impacting both society and an organisation’s brand equity. At Tesco, Nimmi is responsible for delivering communication strategy for both Tesco Bengaluru & Business Services across all the hubs – Budapest and Dundee. She also heads CSR at Tesco Bengaluru and runs impacting volunteering programs that benefit our community and planet. Nimmi's career in branding, corporate marketing, digital communication, and advertising spans nearly two decades and multiple industries. Along the way, she worked with one of India's earliest and most successful publishing startups (Explocity), co-founded and ran her own advertising firm (Octave), built the Bangalore franchise of one of India's more well-known ad agencies (Percept/H), handled global marketing for marquee clients like Citibank and Deutsche Bank (at HCL and Wipro), and a whole lot more. In her most recent stint, she led Communication and CSR for Lowe's India where she helped put the brand on the retail tech map in record time. Nimmi loves insightful brand strategy, meaningful communication, elegant design and impactful campaigns with measurable outcomes. An obsession with detail and a love for getting her hands dirty ensure she's every bit as comfortable deploying strategy in the field, as she is crafting it for the boardroom. Outside the professional world, the hat which probably suits her best is that of an explorer of the wide blue yonder. A certified PADI Advanced Open Water diver, she's always on the lookout for the next dive site, when she isn't planning her next road trip. But when all is said and done, nothing makes her happier than hanging out at home with her four 'fur-legged' babies.
