Impact Talk in conversation with Ms. Ruchi Khemka, Head-CSR, Deutsche Bank, India
With over 22 years of experience across working in the social development sector and having started two enterprises, Ruchi believes she is the chosen one towards building the larger socio-economic agenda of the country. Ruchi started her career with Microsoft India as one of their youngest employees and worked there for 5 years across different Marketing & Sales roles. She has set-up two entrepreneurial ventures, one for-profit fashion enterprise and one social enterprise (SevaYatra Edutrips) that she co-founded focusing on voluntourism and CSR advisory to Companies in India. Over years, she has also worked with several non-profit organizations and has volunteered extensively with NGOs in some of the most rural locations in the country which have been among the most enriching years of her life.
In her recent assignments, Ruchi led Sustainability & CSR at Vodafone before she joined Deutsche Bank AG (DB) in February 2016 as the Head of CSR for the Bank and its entities in India. In her current role at DB, Ruchi leads the mandate for making social investments into communities that create value and result into transformation of these communities to help drive positive change in society. With DB’s focus on Education, Healthcare & Environmental Sustainability, Ruchi believes Corporates in India have the unique power of contribution and being a part of the larger eco-system that adds value to the overall socio-economic growth in the country.
Ruchi is a TedX speaker and has been recognized among the Top 100 most impactful CSR leaders in the country by World CSR, 2017 and 2019 as well as identified among the 73 most powerful and influential LinkedIn profiles 2018.
