In conversation with Ms. Ritu Jhingon CEO-Nandghar, Vedanta Ltd.
Ritu heads Vedanta Limited’s flagship CSR project “Nand Ghar”, which aims at transforming the lives of 8 Cr. children and 2 Cr. women across 13.7 lakh anganwadis across India through provision of pre-school education, healthcare and entrepreneurship development. Since joining Cairn in 2010, a Vedanta group company, she has worked extensively in Corporate Communications and CSR, focusing primarily on strategizing various CSR and brand designing solutions from inception to completion.
As a part of the management, both at Vedanta and Cairn, she has been furthering an environment fostering entrepreneurial thinking and continuously guiding the company’s CSR towards its business linkage, branding and communication at national and international forums. Previously, she has worked in senior management positions for Hindustan Times Media Ltd., New Delhi, Ogilvy and Mather (Sri Lanka, Mumbai and Delhi) where she led teams towards strategizing solutions for its rural arm, creating platforms for experiential marketing, defining mechanisms and tools for defined project delivery and creating platforms for showcasing these solutions to the relevant communities.
