Dr. Sunita Gandhi is the Founder-Secretary of the Disruptive Literacy Partnership. After completing a PhD in Physics from Cambridge University, she worked as an Economist at the World Bank, Washington DC, for 10 years. She left her job and returned to India to work on literacy of the socio-economically disadvantaged people. In 2014, she initiated the Global Dream Disruptive Literacy Program, and developed ground breaking new methodologies to make people literate in record time. Sunita is also Vice-Chairperson of India Literacy Board. She also supports her family to run the world's largest school, City Montessori School, Lucknow – which is both a Guinness World Record holder and a recipient of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. Sunita has been recognized as Educator of the Year 2015 by the India Book of Records and has been felicitated by the Government as a 'Visionary of Uttar Pradesh'
