Ms. Iyer talks about the latest innovations incorporated in their CSR programs; focusing on the disability sector; their partnership with Tactopus to make the classroom more inclusive for children. She details how their ‘revolving fund’ provides interest-free grants to women from rural areas to start their businesses; and ongoing mental health initiatives where they provide scholarships to students from weak economic backgrounds to pursue a career in the mental health profession.

 

About Ms. Rachana Iyer- Assistant Vice President & Lead CSR, IDFC First Bank

Rachana is a social impact specialist with over a decade of experience of having worked across non-profits, social business incubators and corporate social responsibility programs. An alumna of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, she has led programs across India, Nairobi, Uganda and U.S.A in the sectors of Health, Tech for Impact, Mental Health, Disability, Digital Literacy and Entrepreneurship. Rachana currently leads the India-wide CSR mission and portfolio at IDFC FIRST Bank.
