Proposed Project Description

Target population/ Beneficiaries

Gender equality and empowerment of women - UN's 5th Sustainable Development Goals - forms the bedrock of IPTIF’s i-Trend centers. Becoming part of the technological world is crucial to empowering women and girls who can learn technical skills, create career pathways, and go beyond gender stereotypes. Would change lives of rural women and other marginalized sections of the society. Skill development (Basic technical skills to operate 3D Printers, Fab Lab equipment and Testing) to empower rural women and make them Job-ready.

The training will be conducted in the vernacular to reach a wider audience. The method of conduction will be determined by the conduction location. In rural locations, the technique of transmission will be offline at first, then progress as the area develops. A specific methodology carried out by IPTIF methodology can be adopted in locations where online or off-to-online is possible, and this methodology will be followed.

The core of IPTIF's i-Ttrend centers is gender equality and women's empowerment, which is one of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Increasing women's access to and knowledge of technology Improving women's access to technology can help them rise in social status and improve their quality of life. The country's rural population, particularly women in rural areas.

About IIT PALAKKAD TECHNOLOGY IHUB FOUNDATION

Ill Palakkad has established IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) to facilitate the Technology Innovation Hub on Intelligent Collaborative Systems (TIH-ICS) setup at IIT Palakkad by the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) coordinated by the DST, Government of India.
