Children Living with HIV/AIDS face problems when attempting to access medical services, including being denied surgery by medical institutions or receiving deferential treatment by healthcare workers. Besides Children face social stigma, fear of disclosure and discrimination in accessing health facilities including long waiting hours and lack of awareness about where to seek services. Discrimination may contribute to an increase of inferiarity complex . Children who are afftected by HIV/AIDS also face the discrimination in the society.

In India, the collectivization and empowerment initiatives to bring CLHIV into networks/federation have not been largely successful.
