Proposed Project Description

Our proposed program focusses on implementing key sports interventions within the target schools and community centers to help create healthier and empowered communities.

The roadmap offered by us for the proposed program is as under:

  1. Develop early interest in and engagement of all children with sport by implementing a baseline structured sports program
  2. Identifying and developing talented children/ youth in the identified sports
  3. Building capacity of existing school-teachers (PE and subject teachers) to support and sustain the program
  4. Engage community through periodic sessions with parents with data/evidence of impact from the program and identifying and training youth leaders from the community to become sports trainers in the schools for long term sustainability

Baseline and end line assessments:

The Sports Education program typically consists of baseline and endline assessments in fitness, social-emotional learnings, and attendance levels. The assessment plan is well integrated in the school calendar as part of the engagement plan at the start of the program. The on-ground trainers take the responsibility of conducting assessments and collecting primary data with regards to fitness scores, attendance levels and social emotional learning levels of the kids. Post collection of data, the product team analyses the data using system, assessment tools and generate necessary reports presenting the impact of the program. The assessment calendar and the long term program outcome/ impact matrix (with expected outcomes) is provided at the start of the program.

Program Outcomes:

  • Fitness level improvement of kids
  • Social emotional learning development of kids
  • Attendance improvement in school

Salient Features

  1. Age-appropriate inclusive Curriculum
  2. Assessment platform for impact assessment
