Project Description

The Company has spent some amount of money in different educational projects.

1. Capgemini Bridge School Program: Company interactive skills workshops bridge the gap between the classroom and the office and help young people apply themselves confidently. The workshops covered: 1) IT skills and careers: understanding the value of top rate IT skills in any career in today’s world, plus opportunities in digital media, testing and architecture 2) Business awareness: basic commercial awareness, project management and the wide variety of roles available in a large corporate organisation. 3) Communication and teamwork: generating ideas, effective teamwork and communicating differently. 4) Employability skills: CV writing, interviewing, mock assessment centres, and numeracy.

Enlight - Scholarship for girl child education

Enlight - Scholarship for girl child education: Company encourages for extending support through scholarships to groups of people in their communities. For example, Capgemini India undertook a Girl Child Sponsorship program called Enlight that sponsors education of girl children from socio-economically disadvantaged families.

3. Capgemini - LEAP Inclusion: Capgemini has created a comprehensive Leap Data Transformation Framework, industrializing that thought leadership to help clients make the transformation from traditional BI and reporting capabilities to the Business Data Lake, in a low risk, predictable, repeatable and costeffective manner. The inclusion of agile approaches makes it fast and easy for the team to create a transformation path tailored to a client’s specific needs. The Leap Data Transformation Framework also features a transparent estimating model that can calculate the transformation effort with or without this framework. This helps the client decide on the best transformation path.

4. Scholarship for Technical and Medical Education: The company has spent some amount of money in Scholarship for Technical and Medical Education. Capgemini enabled both institutions & individuals to finance students as per their eligibility criteria through scholarships & track the growth of the student with 100% transparency.

5. School Adoption Program: Targeting government schools enabled Capgemini to reach to this very set of children who otherwise do not have other option to pursue their education. Ensuring enrolment in the school register is not enough to empower them academically. This is where Capgemini can provide its expertise. The multi-stakeholder engagement approach establishes a fundamental context to operate taking everyone together. School adoption program focuses on access, quality and infrastructural support.

6. Capgemini Tools to School Program: Capgemini has spent some amount of money for making education relevant and engaging for the children, enabling children to enjoy their childhood through availability of play equipments and other resources, providing regular training to teachers and empowering them with tools & aids to conduct their sessions by implementing the learned modules, transforming school principals to be the change leaders and strengthening school management committees.

7. Project Vigyaan: The company has spent some amount of money in Project Vigyaan through GREAT Foundation. The foundation is engaged to ensure that less privileged school children get all the material help they need to study effectively Trained through the latest teaching learning techniques Supported through remedial teaching Career counselling to enable them to choose proper career paths College scholarships to see them through the years of professional education.

8. Project Saksham - IT & Vocational Skill Center: The company has spent some amount of money in Project Saksham - IT & Vocational Skill Center through HOPE foundation

9. Project Jagrithi: In Pune, WeKare is very active with the Jagriti Blind School for Girls, providing the girls with much-needed practical help. This partner NGO of WeKare was shortlisted for a financial grant from one of Capgemini clients. WeKare collaborated with the client’s India team and donated a Braille digital display machine called “Braille Mitra” and to organize training programs for visually challenged girls to give them skills required for them to be self-sufficient.

10. Study Center Program: The company has spent some amount of money in Study Center Program through Save the children India

11. Improved Learning in Government School: The Company has adopted 10 government schools in the city under the Capgemini School Adoption Programme, a CSR initiative to provide children studying in government schools with access to better infrastructure.

12. Project Akshara: Capgemini India and Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) distributed notebooks at 46 government schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh under Project Akshara. Almost 10,000 students (8,870 primary and 2,060 junior high school students) were covered under this initiative. Project Akshara, supported by Capgemini CSR, has really bought smile on the faces of these most underprivileged children studying in government school.
