Dabur undertook a massive Water Conservation and Management initiative, called Desert Bloom. The Company initiated this project for protecting water resources in waterstressed areas, and also ensuring significant water balancing. As part of this project, three key activities of Nadi digging, Tanka construction and Recharging Pits were carried out in the working area. Rain water is now collected in these Nadis and Tankas, which is then put to use through hand pumps by the villagers. This initiative has helped reduce the water scarcity problem and ensure round-the-year available of water of irrigation and cattle for families in villages of Newai (Rajasthan).
