Project Description
Taking cognizance of the severe drought that Maharashtra has been facing year after year, HDFC supported a project that trains and equips villagers with both technical know-how (on building water conservation structures and implementing saving technologies) as well as leadership skills to tackle the issue of drought in their villages. Some of the other Special Projects were in Environment, where HDFC supported ecology & conservation efforts in two tiger reserves.
