Project Description

The Company has spent some amount of money in this project with an aim to utilize rain water harvesting as a means to give a new lease of life to the village of Nelamangala tainted by scorching summers.

KPIT in association with Jnana Prabhodini, an NGO, and the local village body from Kusgaon village, launched the farm pond activity in the year 2012. With the support of 1,200 employees KPIT successfully built 17 ponds across 7 villages that irrigated 1,200 acres land, benefiting almost 21,000 people. For the FY 16-17 Company desilted two farm ponds in Ranza (Shivapur) village, Pune.

In association with Jnana Prabodhini – Shivapradesh (Pune) and local villagers of Metpilawar (Pune) village, KPIT carried out the well excavation and construction. This will help address the drinking water problem of the Metpilawar village
