The JanaJal unit allows a customer access to safe drinking water using either coins or a unique ATM Card. This bona fide ATM Card provides the customer automatic access on a 24x7x365 basis. The water is dispensed in quantities of 250 ml, 1 litre and 20 litres. Further, biodegradable cups of 250 ml are provided for those who wish to drink water directly from the system. Normal and chilled water would be served throughout the period of operation.
Recent Projects and Users
JanaJal is commissioning 39 water ATMs in association with IRCTC and Indian Railways at various stations in Mumbai such as Kalyan, Chembur, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mankhurd, Wadala, Dockyard Road extending upto Khopoli, Lonavala and even Igatpuri. Plans are to extend the footprint upto 100 water ATMs in the next 4 months.
In association with the Rotary Club of Mewar, JanaJal setup 5 water ATMs in Udaipur, Rajasthan under the Smart Udaipur programme. The ATMs were inaugurated by Smt. Vasundhara Raje Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The occasion was also graced by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Home Minister, Rajasthan along with several dignitaries from administrative departments across the State.
