Globally, an estimated 2.6 million stillbirths occur every year, accounting for nearly 7,200 stillbirths daily. WHO estimates that 3 lakhs maternal deaths occur worldwide annually. Mothers and unborn babies are at a greater risk of dying during the intrapartum period, including labor and delivery. Fetal Heart Rate, Uterine Contraction monitoring, and partograph are evidence-based techniques that can help to identify maternal and fetal risk factors so that these can be addressed early.

However, these parameters are monitored inaccurately or ignored due to a lack of manpower and resources in public healthcare facilities leading to intrapartum complications and death.

Janitri’s Fetal-Maternal Remote Monitoring System monitors fetal heart rate and uterine contraction in a timely and accurate manner. Unlike other available devices, the system comes with a mobile application that provides a real-time view, auto-interpretation of complicated graphs and remote monitoring for healthcare providers. Remote monitoring allows doctors to facilitate early and effective decision-making on intrapartum care.

Janitri has launched Mission Safe Janma, an initiative to reduce maternal and newborn deaths in low-resource healthcare facilities where 70% of deliveries are conducted. Our goal is to monitor one million pregnancies in 2023 and ensure that no lives are lost during childbirth.

Mothers and babies are at a greater risk of dying during childbirth, especially in low-resource healthcare settings. However, this risk can be significantly reduced through monitoring vital parameters during pregnancy and training & education to healthcare providers.
