MINDSPARK is the world's only EdTech platform to have undergone 5 independent evaluations by agencies like Grey Matters, insight, etc, including two randomized control trials by JPAL. It has been built based on 15 years of research on the way students (of ages 5 to 16) think and the mistakes or 'misconceptions' they might have in any concept of Math and Language & the content is contextualized (not just translated) to their location, language & culture. It is available in English and 9 Indian vernacular languages. This is combined with 7 years of deployment on-field across a range of school systems from elite private schools in metropolitan cities to the low-income government schools of rural/tribal India to ensure that each child is improving their reading comprehension and learning math with conceptual understanding. Mindspark shows promise to resolve the problems of heterogeneity and lack of teacher support since it is built on the principle of TaRL (Teaching at the Right Level) & can finely target each child's current learning level. This ensures that each child is receiving personalized support and instruction based on their specific learning needs. Hence, the teacher can focus on common misconceptions or learning gaps that are widespread in her class. Mindspark’s inbuilt M&E system provides best-in-class analytics for governance & compliance needs, through easy-to-understand dashboards with actionable insights for the different levels of decision-makers. The data from teacher dashboards is used by teachers to understand the general learning level & common misconceptions among students to improve their classroom teaching-learning further.
The problem we aim to solve: Few children in India perform at their expected grade level and public-school teachers lack the capacity to handle the widely varying levels of ability. As a result, low-performing students are permanently left behind (and possibly drop out) as they do not receive the academic support they need.
The solution Mindspark offers: Differentiated support can help low-achieving students catch up and reach age appropriate learning ability. Mindspark is an adaptive learning software that caters to students’ individual learning levels in reading and math. It dynamically adjusts the difficulty of questions and provides differentiated feedback and supporting activities to help children learn.
The Innovation: A technology tool formed on years of data on how students learn, in vernacular language to leverage the combined strength of man and machine
The evidence: An evaluation of Mindspark deployed in stand-alone centers in Delhi and integrated with government schools in Rajasthan, conducted by J-PAL, found that the program had a significant impact on students at all levels of the achievement distribution and provided more than double the value-add compared to a control group.
The Implementation model: a model for implementation is made which is cognizant of on ground challenges, monitoring and evaluation of the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, and the training and support required by all throughout the process.

Our organizational vision is “every child learning with understanding." With a Mindspark Program effectively running in government schools, we expect to see children more confident in speaking, written expression, and comprehension of any appropriate text. They would be fearless of Maths and could use it in real-life settings. Teachers would have bettered their pedagogical knowledge and teaching methodology of various concepts. School and district officials will see the value of technology-aided learning as a means to improve student learning outcomes and other indicators such as attendance, test scores, etc. thus informing state budgets to allocate more money for hardware, training, and material requirements. Parents and other community members would see the value of technology-aided learning and send their children to school more regularly. I request you to go through this video of Professor Karthik Muralidharan from J PAL, where he talks about the Impact Mindspark has had on the learners.
