Product Description

India is faced with new coronavirus pollution – generated from municipal and bio-medical waste, such as masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) waste. This new waste stream adds to the already chronic problem of plastic and municipality pollution in India. The country needs an easy collection and safe disposal solution for large volumes of municipal and bio-medical waste for the frontline workers and citizens, along with the effective management of this municipal and bio-medical waste at facilities in different locations, such as hospital isolation wards, testing centers, laboratories, railway stations, and airports during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Introducing “ZOBOW” (i.e. ZerO&BiO-medical Waste) compact zero-waste machines, which converts municipal and bio-medical waste to renewable energy and resources within 24-hours. ZOBOW combines simplified collection, disinfection, and safe disposals of waste, along with improved waste-to-value generation (energy and renewable resources) and information technology.

ZOBOW does not use an incineration process to eliminate municipal and bio-medical waste. Instead, it uses an “ionization” process which is an environmentally safe, odorless, and effective waste management method. ZOBOW’s ionization technology breaks down municipal and bio-medical waste, such as face masks (plastic and fabric), face shields, sanitary napkins, diapers, and other PPE.

ZOBOW powers itself, as it converts municipal and bio-medical waste into heat energy. The generated energy is then used to power its reactor to further process new municipal and bio-medical waste fed into the machine.
