Project Description

India Psychiatric Society (IPS) estimates a hike of 20% in cases of mental health issues due to the lockdown caused by COVID-19. Mind-piper has developed Covid Response, a telephone-based specialized crisis counseling helpline managed by trained mental health professionals.People who are vulnerable to psychological Distress are the ideal users.

 

COVID Response’s approach is to work as a collective with mental health professionals and post-graduate students with a background in Psychology and Social Work who volunteered to dedicate a part of their daily life, apart from their full-time profession.

 
 
 
 

Special Features Of Project

  • COVID Response is a preventive and curative approach to foreseen growth in mental health issues based cases post the lockdown. This helpline intends to support people even post the lockdown to ensure a smooth transition into routine life.
  • Working with Delhi, Punjab and Karnataka Government.
