The company acquired Cinemax in 2012 and had taken over DT Cinemas in the year 2016 serving 76 million patrons annually. Currently PVR operates a cinema circuit of 745+ Screens 160+ Properties 62+ Cities (21 states and 1 Union Territory). PVR offers a grand collection of cinema formats. From its Mainstream to Gold Class Cinemas, Director’s Cut to the latest sub brands - PVR ICON and PVR Superplex, the company has made exceptional technology like the IMAX®, 4DX and ECX (Enhanced Cinema Experience) accessible to its audience. VR’s recent addition has been P[XL] – India’s first premium extra-large home grown big screen format for a truly enigmatic movie watching experience.

CSR Foundation Description

PVR Nest: PVR Nest is a pioneering endeavor in the Indian entertainment industry which rehabilitates the Children at Risk in the vicinity of PVR complexes; while establishing cinema and art as a viable and productive medium of education and living amongst the urban children. The PVR Group was the first cinema exhibition company to set up a sustained and focused social responsibility initiative by introducing PVR Nest (PVR Network for Enablement & Social Transformation) in 2006.  Initiated much ahead of the directives in the Indian Companies Act 2013, PVR Nest believes in educating, empowering and building a collaborative society to assist India’s developmental goals. As reflected by our core area of work, corporate norms, values, motivational drivers and resource allocation, the prime stakeholders of all the programs of PVR Nest are children.
