About the company
Ultra Tech Cement Limited are India's biggest cement company and India’s largest exporter of cement clinker based in Mumbai, India. The company is part of the Aditya Birla Group and division of Grasim Industries. It has an annual capacity of 64 million tonnes. Ultra Tech cement has been awarded the Super brand status. Ultra Tech's products include Ordinary Portland cement, Portland Pozzolana cement and Portland blast furnace slag cement. Ultra Tech is India's largest exporter of cement clinker. The company's production facilities are spread across twelve integrated plants, one white cement plant, one clinkerisation plant in UAE, sixteen grinding units, and five terminals- four in India and one in Sri Lanka.
CSR Foundation Description
The Aditya Birla Center for Community Initiatives and Rural Development
The foundation is engaged in working towards the betterment of 2500 villages across India, out of which 300 villages have been zeroed in on, in the hope of turning them into model villages. The foundation works towards water availability, spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation through various methods including street plays. The Foundation has set up over 10,000 toilets in villages in proximity to the company's plants across India.
