About The Organization
Tech Mahindra Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, a Mahindra Group Company, The Foundation was set up in 2007, as a section 25 Company, has been working tirelessly in the area of education, employability and disability, with a keen focus on corporate volunteering. The Foundation commits to inclusive growth, values of good corporate governance, ethical practices, dignity of the individual and the creation of a just and humane society. The Foundation works with close to 100 partners across India in seven states and eight cities of Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Tech Mahindra Foundation Majorly works on Education, Vocational Training, Helping Disabled People and Volunteering.
Disability
Tech Mahindra Foundation encourages the approach of ‘Ability in Disability’ and support organizations which runs programmes in physiotherapy, speech therapy and vision therapy for children with multiple disabilities, special training for caretakers, development and printing of Braille books, job fairs for people with special needs, supporting Websites for the visually impaired and scholarships and counselling for the disabled
Vision For India (VFI) anonline national advocacy forum brings together visually impaired and organisations working for them for sharing of experience and expertise
Education
Tech Mahindra Foundation runs education programmes in three ways which are support interventions, flagship programmes and public private partnership (PPP) programmes:
All Round Improvement in School Education (ARISE) to promote development of learning and infrastructural resources by adopting schools and supporting NGOs pan India
In-service Teacher Education Institute (ITEI) through which foundation takes teachers under its wing and trains them in ICT services and English.
Shikshak Samman Awards to appreciate the excellence and efficiency of MCD school teachers.
Vocational Training
Support the cause of ‘Education to Employment’ and trains the youth in various sectors which includes Information Technology (IT), Tally, hospitality, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), retail and sales, nurse aids, personal grooming services and tailoring
SMART (Skills-for-Market Training) and YUVA are the landmark programme run by foundation
Volunteering
Volunteers are involved to teach children in municipal schools, mentoring teenagers preparing for competitive exams, organizing blood donation drives, participating in sport meets, sponsoring exhibitions, sales, summer camps and marathons, celebrating special days with beneficiaries of partner organizations, etc
