Vidya Poshak – Empowering Youth Through Education

Vidya Poshak, India is a registered Non Profit Organization, serving education community. The organization was started by a group of compassionate people in the year 2001 at Dharwad with the aim of Empowering Youth through Education & Skill development.

Five hundred volunteers across 10 districts are rendering their passionate services and totally free. Vidya Poshak follows all the norms set by Credibility Alliance &Guide Star India. Vidya Poshak is registered as a society and has 80G & FCRA certification.

Direct Impact

• 4318 students graduated and settled through gainful employment and their families are out of poverty cycle forever.

• 1,20,000 Youth directly trained through our various skill development programs through C-DOSS, ELAAP, RBC, ERP etc

• More than 1, 87,000 youths benefitted by our Library Services program. Students are provided Academic Books, Reference books, Counseling, Computers & Internet facilities.

• More than 300 Million Indian rupees invested in last 15 years for Empowerment of Youth.

Team Vidya Poshak has fifteen years of experience working with youth and handling youth related issues across Karnataka. The Management Team comprises highly motivated individuals who anchor the organization relentlessly. The team includes leaders in the field of Education & Training, Cross domain experts, Technology experts, Banking & Finance experts, Youth Counselors etc. 

Vidya Poshak is the Winner 2016 Spirit of Humanities award for Excellence in Education Sector , Winner of 2013 eNGO award in South Asia for Organizational Efficiency.

The unique feature of Vidya Poshak is that it is community driven. More than 500 volunteers provide their free services involving in all activities of Vidya Poshak. In the past 5 years more than 24,000 house visit of students has been done by travelling more than a lakh kilometer across several thousands of villages in Karnataka.
