Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF) started in the year 2001 and is one of the biggest medical NGO in India. They have made significant contribution to their country's progress in its fight against cancer. They have helped approximately 13373 deprived cancer patients. Since a decade they have been reaching out to the poor and marginalized cancer patients all over India and have acquired the faith and trust of many poor families that approach them for assistance. Countless people have successfully completed their treatment and are leading a normal life.

Their aims & objectives lend constant support to the poor & needy of their society. They live by the motto of providing as much assistance to the poor patients who suffer from cancer and that they shouldn’t die merely for want of money.

CARF has received the Membership of the UICC (International Union against Cancer), Geneva, Switzerland. UICC is the leading global organisation of cancer bodies shaping policies and co-ordinating efforts in the fight against cancer. It is an apex body of all the cancer organisations all over the world. CARF is also a registered member of International Cancer Information Service Group,Toronto. CARF is ISO certified by a reputed organisation. 

Mission

Their Mission is to reach out to poor cancer patients as many as they can and wipe out their tears, bringing a smile on their faces. CARF never restricted its services by only providing medical & financial help to poor cancer patients, but also working hard in all possible corners by performing various activities for the society, which includes patients, doctors, general public and most importantly "The Youth of India" by educating them about the ill effects of consuming tobacco and also spreading detailed information and awareness about early detection of cancer by organizing lectures by eminent doctors, screening various types of films based on cancer in Hindi & English languages in schools, colleges, societies and corporate to create maximum public awareness.

Vision

The Vision of CARF is to create a world where cancer survivors live a life which is full of vitality, cancer free and without fear. They call and encourage them to participate in their events so that they can recover and regain themselves after the treatment. In this way they are trying that there should not be any stone unturned to make the life better of cancer patients and in their United Fight Against Cancer.

CARF is involved in two folds work viz. giving monetary & financial help to poor cancer patients irrespective of caste & creed and spreading awareness of cancer amongst the public. Awareness includes quarterly bulletin, CARF drive, screening of cancer film in schools, arranging lectures by eminent doctors on different type of cancers, etc. Over the period of 21 years, approximately 13373 poor and needy cancer patients were given help covering many hospitals all over India.

In the last 21 years, many cancer patients have been helped for treatments, but as every year passes by more and more patients approach CARF. They try their best to ensure a situation wherein they are able to help as many people in need. With the CSR funds they can create a cancer free society and eradicate the plight of the needy people.
