Why should a corporate partner with organization?
A recent study commissioned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) estimates the socio-economic costs of road crashes at Rs 1,47,114 crore in India, which is equivalent to 0.77 per cent of the country's GDP. Wellbeing of children largely affects the wellbeing of families. If employees and their families are safe, they have a sense of security, which enables them to become more productive. Prevention costs are much less than the costs of accidents, treatment, care and rehabilitation, which the companies have to bear directly or indirectly. Family and employee wellbeing are the most important programs implemented by corporates as part of the CSR initiatives. Company managed schools/ employee residential complexes/work from home employees can benefit significantly from the programs. From 2007 till date Safe Kids Foundation has covered 48,47,351 children, 4,092 schools; trained total 5,578 teachers and 2,253 volunteers, through various educational and awareness activities.
