About the organization
The Feline Foundation is an animal welfare NGO located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Established in 2017, we are an 80G and 12A certified organization. Every year we help thousands of homeless stray dogs and cats who are impacted by living in very harsh conditions on the street. We do this by providing low-cost spay-neuter services and medical rehabilitation for stray cats in our facility, as well as affordable veterinary care for all community animals. To date, The Feline Foundation has completed 4000+ sterilization operations, rehabilitated 1500+ trauma cases, and treated over 10000+ animals at our low-cost veterinary clinic.
It is our mission to bring the city’s stray animal population to a healthy and sustainable level and help them live in harmony with people - especially stray cats as their welfare and needs have been neglected. We are the first NGO in Maharashtra that systematically addresses the needs of community cats.

Special features of the organization
Why should a corporate partner with organization?
For decades, domesticated cats and dogs have been neglected on the streets of Mumbai. Surviving only by eating food scraps from our garbage dumps, their population has grown to millions. Many of them fall sick because of exposure to deadly diseases, get hurt in car accidents, or are attacked by other animals. They live in such dangerous conditions that their lifespan is drastically reduced compared to indoor pet cats and dogs. In recent years some measures have been initiated by groups to help stray dogs, such as vaccination and sterilization drives. For cats, these measures have still been lacking - until now. The Feline Foundation is the first NGO in Mumbai with a mission to help stray cats in a systematic way.
We have a Logical Framework Matrix specifically designed to help us implement our goal in a feasible Five Year Plan. With over 3200 cats sterilized, 1400+ ill or wounded cats rehabilitated, 8300 dogs and cats treated in our Community Veterinary Clinic, and more than 5000 Instagram followers learning about stray cat welfare, we have a positive record of our impact on stray animals.
CSR initiatives are an avenue for corporate groups to actively contribute towards the betterment of human society as well as the preservation of our environment and biodiversity. The welfare of animals is an integral part of this initiative, one that can be achieved by working together.Through financial support and collaborations, organizations/agencies can help us make a difference in the lives of animals in need by providing vaccinations, sterilizations, medical care costs, clinic equipment, and more. We appeal to like-minded organizations to collaborate with us and sponsor the infrastructure and operations of our programs.
