Vridhcare a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in New Delhi, committed to ensuring the dignity of life for the rising elderly population. We have the Vision ‘To be the catalyst to minimize old age destitution and ensure that globally all old age destitute live the life of dignity’. In our journey since 2019, we have expanded our reach at a fast pace and we are currently serving over 25,000 elderly people through 600+ old age homes pan India. These include unpaid, paid and government old age homes.

Our Service Philosophy and Model

Our service philosophy is rooted in the belief that every old age person deserves to lead a life of comfort and dignity. Our Service Model is based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which means that we do not just take care of basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, we also provide them with the opportunity to live a life of self-esteem. We start our intervention by meeting the physiological and safety needs and then move up to take care of love/belonging, esteem and self-actualisation needs. This ensures a life of dignity for every old age person associated with VridhCare.

VridhCare believes in deep engagement with the managers and residents of old age homes. We also understand that the needs of each old age home and each resident is unique and hence the service should start with understanding the unique needs. Our ultimate aim is to bring happiness to old age people and smiles to their faces.

• Create a supply chain for old age ecosystem

We support Old Age Homes and their residents by providing them:

• Basic Living Necessities – nutritious food, clean drinking water, weather-suitable clothing and clean shelter.
• Health & Hygiene – Health check-ups, medication, tertiary healthcare wherever required, yoga classes, cleanliness of their surroundings including toilets and fresh air through plantation wherever possible.
• Medical Support
• Entertainment
• Self-dependency
• Assets programme for the above services
• Our deep engagement helped us understand some of the unexpressed needs like Adult Diapers that helped take care of their hygiene, health and self-esteem needs. We also realised that periodic programmes like yoga, meditation, art & craft, bhakti and magic show sessions bring variety to their life. Our self-sufficiency programme which includes cotton wick making, cattle dung sticks and more have given meaning to the lives of old age people.

• Our vision is to create a society built on the grounds of equity and equality wherein senior citizens feel valued and secure in every way. We aim to bridge the colossal socio-economic gap between the young and old generation.
• VridhCare was established in DEC 2019 by serving just 10 Old Age Homes and in a short period of just over 3 years, we are now working with 700+ Old Age Homes in 28 states of North and East India. We aim to build a network of over 1,000+ Old Age Homes working with us to serve more than 50,000 old age residents of these old age homes. In addition, we have recently initiated a unique in-home service model through which old people get associated with the closest old age home for necessary services without the need to leave their existing residence.
• With the increasing issues associated with old age vulnerability, we seek to help senior citizens meet their basic requirements of life and create a world that is devoid of elderly abuse.

• As we are increasing day by day we need great support from Corporates to partner with us because as an organization we have limited funds but the requirements of old age homes are increasing and it is very difficult for us to fulfill the requirements of increased number of senior citizens i.e  more than 50000 senior citizens .
• VridhCare is looking for the support by including us as part of a CSR programme. This will go a long way in helping us bring a change to the lives of old age people and ensuring that there are no old age destitute in India and beyond.
