The Jaipur Rugs Foundations works on the philosophy of totality, by creating an ecosystem that empowers Artisans. This is accomplished by focusing on Entrepreneurship Development and Social Development.

Our mission is to harness the potential of the Artisans with a sustainable livelihood by facilitating various skill sets. We focus on creating a dialogue with the rural communities to make them aware of the opportunities in the carpet industry. Our vision is to mold a society of equality, justice, and peace through opportunity and socio-economic development.

Our mission is to serve as a social innovator for artisans by providing job opportunities that uplift rural India.The man who revolutionized the traditional carpet industry in India, Nand Kishore Chaudhary, established Jaipur Rugs Foundation to enable economic prosperity among marginalized communities. Starting an extraordinary journey with a vision and two looms, he was able to connect people around the world with the timeless craftsmanship of Indian Artisans. His passion for rug weaving has now developed a community of more than 50,000 Artisans spread across five states, who today work with passion, love, and dignity.

Jaipur rugs foundation has been working rigorously in the weaver’s communities and Kathwari communities for the past 18 years. From the date of incorporation in 2004, JRF has never failed to study, understand and act upon the pressing and unprecedented problems in these areas.

JRF design and carry our projects completely based on the ground research. In the past few years, we have succeeded in diversifying our field of projects and in touching the lives of people in various dimensions.

Through timely and targeted actions, we have built a strong network of more than 40000 artisans. JRF also carryout projects designed around various SDG goals such as:

Through different social development projects and skill development and livelihood programs, so far, we have impacted the lives of more than 273000 people, in 669 different villages. We have created job opportunities for more than 50000 people, out of which more than 85% are women. Our case-specific project also helped us to facilitate 5301 women with education, 25000 with eye care, and a total of 67046 people with door-to-door health care.
