Manjari Foundation (MF) is a non-profit social development organization registered under section 8 of the companies’ act 2013. They are committed to help women from marginalized communities overcome social injustice, poverty, and exclusion. Their Vision is to “Empower women to lead change” and Mission is “to enhance the quality of life of the community through promoting women institutions for development initiative, promoting sustainable livelihood around local resource base and address development issues (governance, gender, health, nutrition and education) through introducing technology and human touch. They visualize an equitable society to sustain the transformation of the human condition that it brings about. Bringing about and sustaining such a change requires deliberate attention to the beliefs, values, norms, and practices prevailing in the society.

Manjari’s open platform is a result of tireless contribution from professional development workers and capable support from PRADAN, a pioneer in promoting Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in India. They have been able to bring hope and joy in the lives of thousands of rural families. They target new milestones with the belief that someone, somewhere would make a choice to support their mission and vision and come forward to be a part of the project.

The vision is to empower women from marginalized communities both socially and economically so that they become the catalysts of change, not only in their own lives, but also for their families and the entire community. They visualize shaping up collectives such a way so that they can become strong and independent enough to bind people together and exert a normative influence on the society.

Mission: Improve the Quality of Life in the Community

The mission is to promote women’s institutions to bring in social justice and equality thus leading to rural transformation. They visualize an equitable society which can sustain continuous transformation in human conditions that is happening socially, economically, psychologically, politically and spiritually.

Manjari Foundation believes that unless the community itself are involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. Believing in this principle of 'Community Driven Change', Manjari Foundation sensitizes the communities for their sustainable development.

Manjari Foundation holds a vision to “empower women to lead change”. The vision has been backed up with their well planned and dedicated actions since inception. Actions speak louder than words and this holds true for their case as well. Manjari Foundation (MF) is half a decade young development organization dedicated to work for Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh with expansion to other geographies including west Africa to replicate the model of social mobilization and women empowerment. At Manjari they believe in transforming the human condition in rural areas with the implementation of tried and tested development ideas. They believe in the practices of imbibing innovations at work and implementing the same at grass root level. With these approaches, they are optimistic that the commitment to transform will make villages and rural areas a better place for its inhabitants and they will not only evolve on several human development indices but also flourish. With a vision to serve 5 lakhs (0.5 million) families in the next 5 years they are constantly and consistently putting their best foot forward!

Over the years, it has been proved that sensible, skilled, professional, and empathetic professionals are needed to facilitate change in the rural set-ups given the complicities of development. The Manjari team comprises socially committed development professionals drawn from different walks of life having vast development experiences from diverse backgrounds such as Engineering, Management, Economics, Agriculture, Food Technologists, Agribusiness, Entrepreneurship, Social Studies and Humanities from some of the best national and international institutes. These professionals are a blend of experienced veterans and enthusiastic freshers with the skills needed to address the issues of rural development in general and economic prosperity & empowerment in particular; has successfully shouldered towards a number of impactful interventions and responsibilities, building the empathetic relationship with the community which is contributing to achieving their vision for enhancing the quality of life of the community. Irrespective of any background, the common thread which connects the entire team is “i- LEAD”; innovative, Learner, Empathetic, Action-oriented, Dynamic. Every member of the team lives to the values of “i- LEAD”. They have close association and partnership with various stakeholders, a few philanthropic organizations, impact invertors, Government Organizations, International organizations and so on. They are working in West Africa Mali as well, where they are supporting local NGO for women institutions and livelihood promotion. They have a history of adding values to all stakeholders who have collaborated with them and this is the reason they have been recognised at several platforms.
