Why should a corporate partner with organization?

Three young like-minded volunteers embarked on a mission 12 years ago with no long-term vision that Bhumi (which is one of India’s largest youth volunteering organization) would reach this far ahead, impacting the lives of thousands of beneficiaries through thousands of like-minded volunteers passionate for a change in society.

Bhumi’s beneficiaries are children living in orphanages, slum communities and studying at low-income schools. They often struggle with social issues and lack quality education that result in decreased opportunities for financial stability later in life, thus re-entering the cycle of poverty. The volunteers who stepped forward to educate the under-privileged children in orphanages, communities and teachers of the low-income schools, strive to empower these children.

Beyond Bhumi’s focus on education, the organization also represents and effectively engages corporate employees in volunteering for social causes across the country to promote volunteering as a national habit. Some of the children we work with are now actively volunteering with us, providing education to the children of their community and this is the biggest testimony to our work, and our belief that by changing today, we change tomorrow.

As quoted by Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”, Bhumi believes that the youth of today are the hope of a nation’s tomorrow. Hence bringing a change in the society through the youth in turn empowering young children lies in the heart of what we as an organization strive for.
