Our college is a Catholic Minority self-financing institution absolutely for women, affiliated to Annamalai University, Chidambaram. It is run by the Franciscan sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation. Motto “Learn, Light and Liberate”. Vision The Vision of our college is to provide a broad based, liberal education for women, promote responsible citizenship and to bring effective social change. 

MISSION: The Mission of our college is to empower young women to face the challenges of modern culture, and society with courage and commitment.In 2015 we started our institution with the strength of 198 students. Presently we are having 2100 students.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS: Our students made a remarkable achievement in their performance during the University Examinations held by Thiruvalluvar University in April 2018 and in April 2020. They received awards and rewards for their academic excellence and three university ranks were bagged by our torch bearers.A. Lavanya from the department of Commerce secured University 1st rank, R. Keerthana from the department of Physics secured University 7th rank, and A. Jenifer from the department of Commerce secured University 10th rank.. They added more laurels to our institution.

CELEBRATIONS: Every year we have a cultural fest in our college. Irrespective of different religions, our students celebrate Christmas, Pongal, Eco-friendly Diwali, and Ramzan. We have these kinds of celebrations at our college mainly to restore different cultures of different religions and to spread unity among students.We also celebrate Women’s Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Yoga Day, Youth Day, World Peace day and National Voters Day in order to highlight the importance of these special days and to promote awareness among students.

EXTENSION ACTIVITIES: Every year NSS, YRC, and RRC students are involved in activities like campus cleaning, blood donation camp, eye camp, health camp, and tree plantation.

DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION: Each department's association has been functioning every year by conducting seminars, workshops and conferences for their respective department students.

• We have organised and conducted the following programmes: National and International seminars and conferences, Employability and career guidance programmes, Skill development programmes, Training programmes to adopt enhanced technologies
• Owing to the Pandemic situation, the classes and programmes for students were conducted online through zoom and Google Meet. We utilized even this pandemic by organizing Three Days Virtual International Conference which is a multidisciplinary forum focused on innovative projects, theories and research findings in the field of arts and science. It is predominantly intended to prompt the significance of culture and myth in different nations.
• Nearly 900 papers were uploaded on our college website and 8 books were published with ISBN.
• We have allotted a few acres of land in our new college campus for cultivation to promote agriculture and the department of Botany is held responsible. The area has been planned for the usage of vegetable cultivation, horticulture and herbal medicine.
• We are providing high quality education even at critical times especially during COVID 19. We never failed to provide standard education to our students. Considering their growth, and to make them independent, we are offering a lot of short term and diploma courses by tying up with national and international institutions and companies. We are lighting up light in the life of backward communities by providing high quality education to each and every student of our institution.

Immaculate college for women, Cuddalore is situated in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the ancient, and historic districts. Silver beach is the most famous spot of Cuddalore. Though Cuddalore is considered as a city, there are many villages present in it. The occupation of many people who reside in the villages is farming. Their lives depend on the agricultural lands but sometimes heavy rainfall affects their livelihood leading to huge loss. Likewise, many people are living in the coastal areas especially the fishermen community. The following are the list of coastal villages at Cuddalore  Singarathoppu  Sonangkuppam  Devanamppatinam  Thazhankuda  Narambai  Moorthikuppam  Panithittu  Moola valli  Thavalakuppam  Ariyankuppam  Veeramppatinam  Murungapakkam. The life of the above-mentioned people residing in coastal areas is highly affected during natural calamities such as Tsunami, cyclone etc. Cuddalore is one of the worst affected districts of Tamil Nadu by Tsunami in December 2004 in which as per the report 610 persons died in the district and 38 persons went missing. Cuddalore is considered as one of the most highly affected districts in Tamil Nadu state, and experiences many natural hazards. It has been witnessing heavy rainfall in every northeast monsoon. People who live near Pennayar River (which runs north of the town) and Gadilam River are affected by the flood during the northeast monsoon. Their lives are hectic as water enters into their houses during floods making them to leave their houses with their family members and for some days they go and reside in some other places until water drains in their houses.

Our college is located at Chinnakanganankuppam. Many girls who are under the poverty line residing in the villages of Cuddalore are getting high quality education in our college. The following are the list of villages situated around our college at Cuddalore  Subauppalavadi  Gunduuppalavadi, Periyakanganankuppam, Uchchimedu, Irulansandy,  Kuruvinatham  Parikalpet  Pillaiarkuppam,  Seliamedu,  Karaiyambuthur,  Aranganur. Many of our students are coming from the aforementioned villages. Most of the parents of our students are illiterate. They are mostly farmers, fishermen, and daily wages but unlike them, they want to make their daughters be successful in their lives by making them educated. Due to the above mentioned challenges the girls are not able to attend college and make their lives better.
