About the organization
BFA was born of the idea to collect children’s story books from more affluent neighborhoods and make them available to students in Government schools who have no access to such books. One room at the Gejha Primary School in Noida was converted into a basic library equipped with white board, soft board, chairs, durries and books. The intent was to create a space, to which the children would be attracted to come and browse and read story books, guided by volunteers.
Initially the library was run with the funds put together by the volunteers themselves. After a year of managing the library with the volunteers’ own funds, Books for All (BFA) was registered as a Public Charitable Trust on 10th February 2011. Since then we have expanded our area of work which has been benefitting not only children but youth as well.
Currently BFA is working towards the betterment of less-privileged children, youth & women who largely hail from the urban villages of Delhi- NCR. The Trust is engaged in the following impact areas:

Why should a corporate partner with organization?
With a decade of experience we understand the ground reality. With our talented and well experienced management and organizational team we have always achieved more than the set targets. Today we have 6 Library cum Creativity Centers that cater to over 2000 students. We have impacted 15000 students through our Library cum Creativity Centers and have sponsored the education of 24 bright deserving students to good English and Hindi medium schools.
Apart from this, in a span of two years of partnership with HCL Foundation, BFA has successfully provided career counseling to 2792 students and vocational training to 146 youth in 28 different courses from 11 reputed institutes across Delhi & NCR. Among the trained students 55 youth have secured placements. Also, 800 students participated in soft skills and life skills classes.
In our latest Project - Hanging Libraries, BFA, with the help of our numerous supporters, was able to install 47 Hanging Libraries in 6 states of India in less than a year.
