About the organization
Spark Minda Foundation was incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act and is the CSR wing for the group companies to undertake CSR programmes since 2014. The main aim of SMF is to work for community development by catering for Education, Livelihood Promotion, Women Empowerment, the Facilitation of Healthcare, the upliftment of People with Disabilities and sustaining the Environment. In keeping with this aim, the Foundation runs projects and programmes for the communities in the semi-urban and rural areas of 5 states of India, namely, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The vision of the Foundation is to build a sustainable society by improving the quality of life; protecting the planet through affirmative actions and establishing integrated and inclusive growth of people and the environment. The approach is need-based and focuses on collaborating with like-minded institutions to cater to a wide range of people around the nation. The programmes are conceptualized in such a way that they could be easily replicated and provide avenues to gradually scale up the programmes in the years to come.
The CSR strategies are designed to address some of the global concerns in the Indian context keeping the programs aligned with the Sustainability goals offered by the United Nations.

Since the organization is a section 8 company the company is directly involved in the planning and implementation of the projects. The Projects are customized according to the need assessment and continuous monitoring is overseen by the CSR council members. The council members are active participants in providing expertise on the flow of projects. Regular monitoring of projects helps in the timely achievement of the project and creates a greater impact on the community. We are also working on various interventions catering to education, livelihood, women empowerment, Sustainability, and people with disabilities, which helps the foundation to provide multiple benefits to the community.

Considering and aligning the programmes to any of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the organisation believes that partnership is the key to the sustainable implementation of the programmes. We are currently actively working in 5 different states of India, namely, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with a variety of intervention areas like Skilling and Livelihood Promotion, Empowerment of People with Disabilities, Community Health care and Environment Sustainability. The organisation has multiple partners who help in bringing expertise that is directly related to the intervention areas.

Right from grass root level organisations to our technical partners, industry partners, governmental agencies and partners, outreach partners, everyone of them plays an important and a significant role. These partnerships are imperative to collectively bring about improvement in the society and will surely result in positive impact and change.
