The module focuses on imparting the basic skills in activities of daily living, motor skills, communication, and linguistic, social, and emotional context.
Speech Therapy

Special Education
The school imparts customized Individual Education Programme (IEP) that is focused to develop academic skills, communication skills, social skills, motor skills, applied and functional academics, self-care, life skills, recreational skills and prevocational skills through research-based methodologies.
Vocational Training
At MBCN, we impart the right vocational training to each student, depending upon their capabilities and limitations, to bring them at par with the world. Our vocational training programme, Swayam, engages them in various activities for creating handcrafted and eco friendly products. They learn to design and create paper bags, envelopes, cards, holders, gift boxes and other handmade office items. In exchange, money is not all they get. This training gives them a sense of self-worth and economic independence. Besides, they learn the skill of developing interpersonal relationships. The children who do not show much progress on the academic front are encouraged to pursue the vocational training programmes. Swayam products, made by special children, are purchased by various corporate houses and organizations. Not only this, the students also get a stipend for their contribution, as an encouragement for their hard work and special skills.
Occupational Therapy
The primary objective of occupational therapy for special children is to enable them to move forward in their lives without any physical dependence on someone else. To help them lead an independent life, the occupational therapy improves their participation and performance in daily activities such as self-care, navigation, school and play, among others. The therapists assess the home and work environments of every child individually and chalk out the adaptive measures that may be exercised by them. Also, we assist them with adaptive equipment’s, like wheelchairs, hearing aids, splints, crutches etc. and educate them about their usage. Our therapy also includes meeting their families on a regular basis, so that the family can modulate therapy and extend it to the home environment as well.
Physical Therapy
Our Regular physical therapy programme provides physically challenged children with opportunities to reach their optimal functional ability. Treatment may include activities and exercises for strengthening, stretching, range of motion, relaxation, endurance, head and trunk control, gait training, sensory integration and gross motor challenging. Working within an interdisciplinary team approach, our special educators regularly work with physiotherapists for daily activities that enhance the child’s physical therapy programme.
