|
Block printing is a handicraft industry and there is always a shortage of block printing operators. Generally Job work for the block printing is available at the unit. But in non peak season, it struggles.

|
An average candidate is doing 4 to 6 hrs of work in a day. Candidates are also giving their time to agricultural work during crop season.. It gives them an option to earn livelihood when the agriculture season is not there. Due to shortage of water,these villagers have only 4 month of agricultural work. For rest months , they have options to do. Also they are not forced to leave their agricultural work. Candidates who do not have agricultural work run the unit as full time.

|
This industry is a good source of self employment. It needs very little investment and plenty of work opportunities make it very easy to opt.

|
Presently 15 candidates out of 25 trained candidates are working in garment and home furnishing industry related printing.

|
Just after the training candidates were printing two bed sheets in a day. Now after one year candidates are printing 5 bed sheets per day.

As per candidates, Their income is helping their family and children. They are able to take small financial decisions with their own.

As per the officials of the Manufacturing companies, candidates are punctual about their work and absenteeism is also less.

Over a period of time candidates have improved their job quality. Initially candidates were more money centric. Now they are understanding quality importance.

Initially the unit was producing 8 to 10 bed sheet production per day. After one year they have started to produce 15 to 18 bed sheets per day.
