Project Description

Piramal Swasthya, basis the SATH (Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital - Health) MOU signed with Govt. of Assam and NITI Aayog, is appointed as the technical partner for the SATH programme to provide advisory and implementation support to develop Transformational Roadmap and implementation plan in collaboration with the State machinery for the identified eleven areas under the SATH Project. SATH envisions bringing about a transformation of health services in Assam, relating to both service delivery and uptake.  This is an attempt to build Assam as a ‘role model’ state by transforming priority areas within the health system, by creating ‘best practices’ models that are scalable and replicable; designing initiatives for both short term and long term and building capacity within the state so that they are able to sustain the interventions. This model aims to address top few challenges in the State with focus on Non-Communicable Diseases & Maternal and Child Health, thereby reducing the risk of Premature Mortality due to diabetes and hypertension and Maternal/Infant Deaths.

SATH closely work in collaboration (catalytic) with state machinery to:

  • Address top few challenges in the state
  • Design a robust roadmap of Interventions
