Overall Project Details:
Project “Generation” - Its main objective was to ensure that people from disadvantaged and socially backward backgrounds get an opportunity to skill themselves and get gainful employment. Through this project Mc. Kinsey undertakes the STD Model – source, train and deploy persons who have anywhere above 8h Std qualification and trains them to become trained carers who can assist elderly persons with activities of daily living.
The costs for sourcing, housing, food, training infrastructure, training material costs are borne by Mc Kinsey through its CSR fund and Portea pitches in some amount to aid in this endeavour. Persons are then provided gainful employment after the 3 month training and also Portea receives the guarantee of persons being replaced for those who leave the organization
Training Costs Entailed: Mc Kinsey spend Rs.50,000/- on each candidate and Portea pays Rs.9000/- for every candidate who joins the organization.
Commencement date: The project has commenced from November 2016 and is till going on.
Project Impact: A total of 800 people have been contacted to join the project of which 400 have got deployed and trained and 300 joined Portea Medical. As on date, we have 180 of these trained persons with us.
