The foundation training is the most important part of the LRC. It helps PwDs build and improve their ways of communication.
Foundation training basically concentrates on providing a holistic development in the PwD candidate.
Objective of Foundation Training are -
Under foundation training LRC provides:
Basic skills: Like Communication, teamwork skills, conflict management, job responsibilities, writing skills – report, resume, letter, grooming and interview, money management, disability rights.
Soft Skill Training: Soft skills also known as people skills. They include proficiencies such as communication skills, conflict resolution and negotiation, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, influencing skills and selling skills to name a few. It is noted that soft skills are important for overall development.
Computer Skills: The LRC provides fundamental knowledge on how a computer works and in what different ways it can be used. Example how to use the normal hardware, functional knowledge of the word processing, how to access Internet, how to use e-mail and how to navigate a computer’s file system.
English language: Since English is used as an international medium of communication in the world and plays a significant role in the society. Hence LRC strongly believes in imparting English language skills to the candidates.
