Project Description
To provide primary public health care services including referral services.
To contribute to the achievement of improvements in MDG goals for health, in the area by reducing the infant & maternal mortality, along with communicable diseases like malaria, T.B, AIDS, diarrheal diseases, etc.
To provide essential health care services for chronic illnesses such as Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Epilepsy, Chronic Bronchitis, Chronic Bronchial Asthma, Chronic Arthritis, Acid Peptic Disease, etc.
To provide minimum Laboratory Investigation such as Urine for Alb& Sugar, Pregnancy test, and Blood Sugar level estimation, Hb%, blood smear for malarial parasite, sputum for AFB, etc.
To create awareness among the community regarding communicable and non- communicable diseases, along with their prevention through IEC activities.
To encourage the private sector in providing qualified essential health care to rural communities with the purpose to establish sustainable services in such communities.

Special Features of Project
Providing Primary health Services to the unserved, underserved and unreached rural and tribal areas located in hilly and forest tract of Belgaum District of Karnataka State.
Providing / Delivery of Health Services : Through operationalizing Mobile medical units SEVAK delivers the services to the unreached communities at their door steps as mentioned below;
Curative Services for common illnesses and chronic illness
First Aid
Referral Services
Family Planning Services
Antenatal and Postnatal Care
Immunization services
Counseling on all matters, in particular HIV/AIDS
Implementation of National Health Programs
Health Education Activities and Environmental Sanitation
Minimum routine laboratory investigations
Management of Bio Medical Waste (collection, storage and disposal)
Extensive health related IEC activities and other services
Samples for special investigation like sputum examination for AFB, Blood smear for Malaria Parasite & Elisa test to be sent to Designated Microscopic Center
Diagnosis and regular treatment of all chronic illnesses like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, chronic respiratory diseases, epilepsy, chronic arthritis and acid peptic diseases free of cost
Ensuring that health services provided by them will comply with the standard quality of care and other agreed norms established by Dept of HFW
Implement innovative interventions identified and agreed by the Health Department.
