Project Description

Safety of children is the primary duty of every parent. There is nothing worse for a parent than losing a child. With an aim of creating safer homes and protecting children from the risk of fire and burns and other common accidents, which occur at home, Safe Kids Foundation with support from Honeywell launched Safe Kids at Home Program in Pune on November 2, 2015. It is an interactive school-based educational program consisting of interactive classroom activities, home assignments, games, videos and songs.

 

Mission

The Program aims to protect children from fire and burn injuries through training and awareness in schools, communities and among caregivers. It aspires to bring together citizens and civic bodies who can lead the way in making Pune a model ‘Safe Kids at Home’ city in India.

Special Features of Project

  • Program is unique in itself and works in collaboration with Pune Municipal Corporation, Fire Department, Education Department, Hospitals, Burn-Units, Pediatric Associations, Non-profit Organizations, Schools and Communities.
  • The program is a flagship program and has achieved various awards and accolades
  • Various resources like activity books, teachers and students guides, social media content, brochures and other information material is developed and the program is interactive in nature.
