Project Description

Project Background:

A total 4,37,396 road accidents were recorded across India in 2019, resulting in the death of 1,54,732 people and injuries to another 4,39,262, according to the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data. Approximately half of all deaths on the country's roads are among vulnerable road users - motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists. The primary reasons for this high rate of accidents are ignorance, negligence and lack of sense of responsibility on driver’s part for traffic rules while driving on roads and also that of pedestrians while walking or crossing of roads.
