Project Description

The Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya project will enhance the employability of Meghalaya's youth (aged 16 to 35 years) by improving the quality and delivery of its Secondary Higher Secondary (SHS) education and technical and vocational skills development programmes.

Objectives Of The Project

The project will enhance the employability of Meghalaya's youth by improving the quality, delivery, and access to its Secondary & Higher Secondary education and TVET programmes.

It will catalyze PPPs in skills training, strengthen public training institutes, build awareness among the youth, increase participation of women, and strengthen monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to increase results orientation.

AEA's Role

Aide et Action will organize meetings and briefings to explain the goals, priorities, and programmes of SHCDM in which civil society, government representatives, and partners of SHCDM participate in these meetings. The AEA will also organize consultation meetings and orientation programmes with the SMCs districts and block administrations. Besides various orientation and consultation with youth/teachers, women groups, minor tribal groups, SHGs, NGOs, meetings are also required to conduct with District/Village Autonomous Council.

Impact and Outcomes

The impact of the project will be enhanced employability of Meghalaya's youth. Its outcome will be improved quality, delivery, and access to SHS education and technical and vocational skills training in Meghalaya.
