Project Description
Curiosity Gym (Our Parent Organization) is dedicated to uplifting rural communities through education. We have set up a STEM lab at Sohrarim, Meghalaya in 2021. This project has brought transformative technological opportunities to local youth, who enthusiastically participate in computer, robotics, and technology training within the STEM lab. Additionally, Curiosity Gym has trained a local entrepreneur to serve as a conduit for knowledge dissemination. This entrepreneur, in turn, educated students from nearby areas on topics such as 3D printing setup and robotics fundamentals. By fostering a culture of learning and innovation, this project empowered rural communities, bridging the educational gap and nurturing a technologically empowered future.
This initiative helped these students at different levels
- Skill Development: The STEM program fosters critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and coding skills among students.
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship: STEM education cultivates a generation of innovators and future entrepreneurs, equipping them to address global challenges.
- Local Problem-Solving: Through STEM, students gain practical skills to tackle community challenges, particularly in rural areas, leading to impactful local solutions.
- Supports government initiatives: STEM implementation contributes to the "Make in India" initiative by nurturing innovation, fostering growth in sectors, enhancing infrastructure, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This initiative also aligns with the "Atal Innovation Mission" to empower one million young innovators in India, fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
This initiative has had a significant impact on students, enabling them to acquire cutting-edge skills and undertake advanced projects to address the pressing issues within their communities.
