Establishing science centers and organizing science fairs.

Project Description
Project aim is to establish science center at any seceted school. identify 60-70 schools around or nearby to the school where science center is established. Then conduct teachers training of all 70 schools. Arranging visits of the students of identified schools to our science center. and at the end of year, organise a "Science fair" where students of all 70 school will display their innovative ideas, exibits, their inventions, TWO from each school. Science fair is for 2-3 days. we invite all students of these 70 schools, parents of some children , perticulerly of those students-who are participating to display their exibit. we also invite other schools than these 70 schools. Inviting officials from education department to visit the science fair and science center. give prizes to the contestants.
This activity we are implementing at 6 locations in India.
At Lucknow , Noida, Nagpur, Chennai, Madurai, Pune.
Yearly more than 25,000/ students are visiting to our science centers at these locations.
With government support we could established 136 schence centers in government schools in diffrent part in Maharashtra. This is mainly with Ashram schools of Tribal dept, Residential Schools of Depertment of Social Justice. and ZP schools.

Special Features of Project
- Science center for schools, is new concept in our country .
- We started our "Discovery Science center" at kerwadi-Dist Parbhani, was the only science center in rural area in Maharashtra. There were no science center as such for any school.
- We initiated this activity, we could built 35 science centers at 35 blocks of diffrent district in Maharashtra. These were the first time science centers for schools. (Its with support from Human Devp Commission-Maharashtra.
- The speciality of our science centers is, all exhibits are INTERACTIVE. The size and qualty is appropriate to play with the exhibit. Whenever students visiting our science center - we insist them to touch each and every exhibit-play with that. Its our experience that, Students can learn well while playing with scientic exhibits.
