Project Description

Young people are agents of change and their potential to influence entire families could be leveraged to change the way people eat. A school is thus an obvious place where healthy eating habits can be  inculcated.

In September, 2017, FSSAI had launched the Safe and Nutritious Food@School (SNF@School) initiative. Since then, thousands of schools have registered, created certified Health and Wellness Coordinators and have begun activities under this program. To make implementation simple, FSSAI has created credible content in Yellow Books 1 & 2 and made it available online on www.snfportal.in.

The project has been successfully adopted and implemented by several corporates as part of their CSR/ Voluntary support activities.  This can be easily adopted and implemented by CSR partners or any other organisation through models like (1) Adopt a school (2) Print and distribute educational material (3) Create SNF Fellowship.

More details about these are available on www.snfportal.in.
