The Project caters to the growing need of eye care services to the underprivileged. In spite of the fact that many of the vision impairment diseases are preventable in nature, many people still have blindness as they do not receive the required eye-screening at the right time. Visit to eye care professionals for comprehensive eye examination can help detect problems at the right time. Many of the people are not even aware about importance of eye care. The strength of this project is that it shows immediate impact by providing refraction glasses and referring people for cataract surgeries. Out of the 37+ million people across the globe who are blind, over 15 million+ are from India. What's worse, 75% of these are cases of avoidable blindness. Additionally, Proper vision care complements other important aspects off a person's life like education, employment, safety, etc. Hence, this project has a huge potential to benefit the overall growth and well-being of people.
Key Objectives of the project are:
1. Comprehensive eye care to the population which is underprivileged, under-served and tribal that have less access to the advanced healthcare facilities.
