Project Description

The project promotes nutrition based approaches in agricultural practices and builts capacities of the farmers. It also aims to augment  diet and nutritional diversity among the farmer families with special focus on children, adolescent girls and young pregnant and lactating mothers in 40 villages covering  3 blocks in Trichy district of Tamilnadu.
 
At production level the project has indentified 2400 farmers  to train them in diversified farming, integrated and improved production and access to nutritious millets, fruits, vegetables and milk products. The focus is also on producing pesticide free products as a value addition.
