The Niketan is fully committed and dedicated for the rehabilitation of children with intellectual impairment, cerebral palsy, autism and multiple disability. It is trusted that these children should be loved and respected in the society as any other normal child is. Presently the institution provides rehabilitation services to more than 600 beneficiaries. The school campus hosts 35 class rooms, one physiotherapy and occupational hall, four speech therapy departments, one seminar hall, a kitchen, canteen and a dining hall.

  • The building is fully equipped with fire-fighting system as per NBC norms.
  • The safety of children is ensured with CCTV surveillance.Adequate parking for all vehicles including buses is available in the premises.
  • The school has adequate power back-up.

The school provides the following programmes:

Early Intervention

Early Intervention Therapy is geared towards teaching basic life skills to children between 3 and 6 years of age. This therapy sets the right foundation for further learning that a child with special needs may need.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy involves the use of latest software that helps the child develop normal speech habits and a positive attitude towards vocal communication.

Special Education

The school imparts customized Individual Education Programme (IEP) that is focused to develop academic skills, communication skills, social skills, motor skills, applied and functional academics, self-care, life skills, recreational skills and prevocational skills through research-based methodologies.

Vocational Training

At MBCN, we impart the right vocational training to each student, depending upon their capabilities and limitations, to bring them at par with the world. Our vocational training programme, Swayam, engages them in various activities for creating handcrafted and eco friendly products. This training gives them a sense of self-worth and economic independence. Besides, they learn the skill of developing interpersonal relationships.

Occupational Therapy

The primary objective of occupational therapy for special children is to enable them to move forward in their lives without any physical dependence on someone else. To help them lead an independent life, the occupational therapy improves their participation and performance in daily activities such as self-care, navigation, school and play, among others.

Physical Therapy

Our Regular physical therapy programme provides physically challenged children with opportunities to reach their optimal functional ability. Treatment may include activities and exercises for strengthening, stretching, range of motion, relaxation, endurance, head and trunk control, gait training, sensory integration and gross motor challenging. Working within an interdisciplinary team approach, our special educators regularly work with physiotherapists for daily activities that enhance the child’s physical therapy programme.
