Sportz Village Foundation plans to build “Sports Fellows” through volunteering:
- Provision of a structured sports curriculum for the target grades/age groups – across all schools to address inconsistency and non-uniformity in the program
- Commission baseline and end-line assessments on basic sports fitness & skill levels
- Design a calendar of sports events in schools for parent/ community engagement
- Provision central training content (Master Trainer and training material) – to regularly impart the expertise and methodology required for a quality experience.
Our goal is to create an employee volunteering program to engage children (from upper primary/ secondary years) in the identified schools/ communities in a sports education (base-line*) program – and build their health, fitness, and social-emotional skills.
Target Group: Disadvantaged children from government schools.
Outcomes:
- Participation/ongoing engagement in the structured school sports program.
- Building capacity of employee-volunteers to support the sports program.
- Improvement in academics and school attendance
- Improvement in fitness levels.
- Improvement in Social Emotional Levels
