MelJol is a non-profit organization committed to empowering children, youth, women and communities to build the knowledge, skills, confidence and agency needed to overcome intergenerational poverty and create better futures. MelJol began in 1991 as a field action project of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), initiated by Prof. Jeroo Billimoria and Prof. Lata Narayan under the guidance of Prof. Armaity Desai. Its early work focused on bridging socioeconomic divides among children. Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, MelJol subsequently expanded its work to address poverty, financial literacy, and gender inequality. It was formally registered as an independent Society and Public Trust in 1999. In 2001, MelJol introduced children`s savings groups and developed a social and financial education approach that later inspired Aflatoun International, established by Jeroo Billimoria in 2005 to take this model to children around the world. YosAid Innovation Foundation is an FCRA-approved Indian non-profit (Section 8) transforming patient care through family empowerment. In India, over 25 lakh health worker shortages mean providers spend barely 2.5 minutes explaining home care to families. This gap leads to preventable complications, reduced hospital readmissions and lost lives. YAIF bridges this divide through the Care Companion Program (CCP). Anushkaa Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working to ensure that children born with clubfoot receive timely, comprehensive, and free treatment. Clubfoot is a common birth condition in which one or both feet are turned inward and downward, affecting a child’s ability to walk if left untreated. The Foundation provides children with free, non-surgical treatment using the globally recognised Ponseti method, enabling them to lead active and productive lives. Anushkaa Foundation has supported 28,000+ children across 14 states and 190 districts in India. Its work includes setting up and supporting dedicated clubfoot clinics, training orthopaedic doctors in the Ponseti method, and sensitising frontline health workers for early identification and referral. The Foundation also provides casting materials and foot abduction braces free of cost, along with counselling and support for parents and caregivers. Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, headquartered in Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur District, Karnataka, India, is a charitable organisation working at the grassroots to address hidden hunger and support child nutrition. Established in November 2015, the Trust strives to provide fortified morning nutrition to school-going children, particularly those from rural and disadvantaged communities. Beyond nutrition, Annapoorna works with school authorities to encourage an ethos of academic and human excellence, supporting the holistic development of children. Today, the Trust serves morning nutrition to over 1,00,00,000 school children across 25 states and 4 Union Territories in India, primarily through government schools in rural and underserved communities. The morning nutrition is provided in the form of SaiSure, a fortified nutrition supplement added to milk or jaggery and served to children after the morning school prayer on the school premises.

Vibha is a volunteer-driven nonprofit, founded in 1991 by the Indian diaspora in the United States. It is one of the few organizations built entirely by volunteers who choose, on their own time, to make quality public education possible for every child. Vibha’s mission traces back to its founding purpose: to educate, empower, and enable every individual who wants to make a real difference in a child’s life. That mission still drives the work today. Vibha finds grassroots education models that work, then brings donors, CSR partners, communities and volunteers together to fund and scale them.
