The main purpose of the project is to develop grass root level preventivestructures and mechanism of child protection that would be takingaction against fake/forced and early marriage of girls.

One girl alone is vulnerable but together they can co-operate each other increating a safer environment for all the girls of the village. A childespecially the girls are always the weakest link in a society and thereforeneeds special protection, especially if their family and the communitycannot offer the basic needs and protection. At the same time, children/girls are the future. Any investment in a girl/ child will reap multiple rewardsin the future.

Program that involves target group and community at all stages ensuresparticipation and sense of ownership. While young people, particularly girls,are extremely vulnerable to multiple forms of violence, they can also be keyagents in this fight.  They can be very effective in transitioning youngadolescent people from learners to activists.

Concern project brings girls/ children and women whom have no voicetogether in supportive companionship whilst they learn a skill which cangive them financial independence. Through multi-dimensional approach thegirls/women often become empowered in other ways, standing up toviolence against them and others, too.

We will work in the rural remote bordering villages where traditionalorthodox practices prevailed and where sometimes it is difficult for peopleto see hope. Girls/ Women of deprived community can be terribly isolatedoften with no one to turn to for help or support. This project brings marginalized section deprived girls/ women together and gives them newfound strength and hope.

Purposed social, educational, and economic interventions will result inincreased dignity and self-confidence for the girls. Individually they arepowerless, as part of a group they have strength. The intervention will alsoraise the girls’ status in the eyes of their families, as their independentincome undermines the belief that they are economic burden. There wouldalso be a reduction in domestic violence as the young women realize thatthey can influence the behavior of the men and overall community.

Women, most of who are dependent on their male counterparts, should bemade aware of their rights so that they can protect themselves and theirdaughter’s rights, too, to lead a dignified life.

• Marginalized section victims and vulnerable girls /women andchildren from vulnerable community will be the direct beneficiaries ofthe project.
• The project will work directly with the girls/women andchildren and their respective parents for bringing positive change,socially, educationally and economically.
